A lighter way to do this · · ·

I don't have a fancy bridal shop anymore. It stopped serving me - and honestly, it stopped serving the brides too. It got heavy, and it got outdated. Brides today shop differently, more freely.

So I built something lighter instead.

A small showroom in Oslo, with shorter appointments and open drop-in hours. Pop-ups in other cities, in Norway and around Europe. A few curated retailers, rather than a long list of them.

And a smaller collection. No twenty new gowns every year - just a few pieces at a time, whenever something is ready. I let go of the styles that took endless hours and endless fittings, and kept the ones brides always reached for: the lace tops, the skirts, the minimalist dresses.

Everything is still made in the same atelier in Riga. The same hands. The same silk, the same laces. Made in Europe, in small numbers, by people I know by name. Nothing is made until you order it. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for a bride who may never come.

None of this got cheaper to make. I simply took away everything that was never really about the dress.

What's left is the part I love - the drawing, the delicate fabric, and the woman who will wear it. Silk and lace chosen a roll at a time. Sewn in Riga by women I know by name, in a room I sit in myself. Nordic in its quiet, European in its making, and nothing standing between you and me but the work.

You can shop from home, or come and meet me in the showroom. Either way you are dealing with me, not with a sales floor.

Most of my pieces are designed to fit easily, and a top or a skirt is simple to adjust. If you would like yours made to your measurements, I still do that - as something you choose and pay for, not something I quietly fold into everyone else’s price.
